Abou Diaby backs Arsenal to carry their winning momentum from before the international break through to clash with Reading

Abou Diaby is hoping Arsenal can carry their winning momentum from before the international break through to Saturday’s Premier League clash with Reading.
The Gunners bounced back from the disappointment of their north London derby defeat by Tottenham to beat Bayern Munich 2-0 in Germany before winning by the same scoreline at Swansea City.
The north Londoners still harbour hopes of a top-four finish this season, with Arsene Wenger’s men currently four points behind Spurs having played a game less than their local rivals.
And midfielder Diaby is backing Arsenal to win a crucial three points against Reading, who this week appointed Nigel Adkins as Brian McDermott’s successor, at Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
“When you win, you always get a confidence boost,” Diaby told Arsenal Player. “It was really important to win the Bayern game, against a big team.
“Unfortunately we didn’t get through but we did beat them and they hadn’t lost for some time at home – it was a really good performance from us.
“Following that, winning at Swansea was really good as well because every game from now until the end of the season is crucial.”
