Alan Shearer says Liverpool FC trio are a ‘nightmare’
Alan Shearer discusses Liverpool FC's attacking front three and their fine recent form

Alan Shearer believes that Liverpool FC’s front three of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane is a total nightmare for opposition defenders.
The trio have been earning huge amounts of praise for their strong performances for the Merseyside outfit and they all sparkled last season to help the Reds finish fourth and reach the Champions League final.
Salah was particularly impressive in his first season at Liverpool FC last term since joining from AS Roma, scoring 44 goals in all competitions and winning the PFA player of the year award.
Liverpool FC have started the new season strongly and have won all four of their opening Premier League games to leave them top of the table thanks to their solid start.
And England legend Shearer feels that Salah, Firmino and Mane are equally as deadly as Manchester City’s attacking options.
Writing in his column for The Sun, Shearer said: “The front three grab the headlines, of course. And what a front three!
“They are the biggest nightmare for any defence right now, alongside City’s Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus.
“The way Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane interchange has defenders seeing double.
“While Salah has been Liverpool’s stand-out forward, there is no reliance on him in the same way Spurs look to Harry Kane or Manchester United to Romelu Lukaku.”
Liverpool FC will return to Premier League action after the international break when they take on Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley.
The Red are looking to win their first trophy since Jurgen Klopp was appointed as the club’s manger back in October 2015.
