England prop Alex Corbisiero insists he and his team-mates will be aiming for four wins from four when the autumn internationals get under way in November.

Stuart Lancaster’s side take on South Africa, New Zealand, Australia and Fiji in quick succession looking to build on their promising start to life under their new coach.

A second-place finish in this year’s RBS 6 Nations was backed up with a hard-fought 14-14 draw against South Africa in their third and final summer test in Port Elizabeth.

Corbisiero, who is currently out injured after a knee operation, found himself on the sidelines for the majority of the tour to South Africa as Quins prop Joe Marler was given the starting berth.

But the 23-year-old insists that both he and his team-mates will return stronger for their experiences against the Springboks when the November internationals get underway.

“As a team we’ve just got to win the next game,” he said.

“The way we’ve got to approach it is, the first game is Fiji, we will hopefully win that game. And from then Australia, and progress through it.

“Our target at the start is going to be four from four and I think we have a realistic chance of doing it if we get things right on the day.

“But it’s not going to be easy, they are some of the best times in the world, but I’m sure it’s within us to get four from four and that’s going to be our goal, but its rugby and anything can happen so we’ll take each game as it comes.”

“It would have been nice to come away from those games in South Africa with a win but it has been a big learning experience for the team and I’m sure we’ll take that going forward. I still did enjoy it but it was obviously frustrating for a number of reasons.”
