Latest update on Alexis Sanchez’s future at Arsenal this summer – report
Alexis Sanchez is favouring a transfer from Arsenal to Manchester City this summer, according to reports
Alexis Sanchez has his heart set on a reunion with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Manchester Evening News is claiming that Manchester City have made Sanchez one of their top attacking targets this summer as Guardiola prepares for his second season in charge at The Etihad.
However, the same report states that Manchester City face a struggle in convincing Arsenal to sell their prized asset to a direct rival this summer.
The story also claims that Manchester City are remaining confident that they can secure a £50m deal for Sanchez this summer.
Bayern Munich are also said to be interested in signing the 28-year-old and Arsenal are understood to be more willing to let Sanchez move overseas this summer.
Arsenal could still keep hold of Sanchez for another year, but could then risk seeing him leave the club for free next summer.
Sanchez has developed into one of the Premier League’s top attacking talents since arriving in England from Barcelona back in the summer of 2014.
The forward scored 30 goals in all competitions for the Gunners last season as they finished fifth in the Premier League and won the FA Cup.
