Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez gives one-word reply to question about Bayern
The Arsenal star has responded to transfer speculation about his future at The Emirates beyond the summer transfer window
Alexis Sanchez has offered Arsenal fans some hope that his future may lie at The Emirates beyond the summer transfer window.
The Chile international has been heavily linked with a move away from the north London side over the past six months or so.
Sanchez was thought to be closing in on a switch to Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich after failing to agree a contract extension with the Gunners.
However, the South American’s proposed switch to the Bavarian side has failed to materialise so far despite relentless speculation about his future.
Sanchez has also been linked with a controversial switch to Arsenal’s domestic rivals Chelsea and Manchester City.
The 28-year-old became Chile’s record goal-scorer after netting his 41st goal on Thursday night in a 1-1 draw with world champions Germany in the Confederations Cup.
Asked whether the forward would be leaving Arsenal to join Bayern this summer, Sanchez replied to the media: “No.”
Arsenal are still in negotiations with Sanchez and his fellow star player Mesut Ozil about extending their deals at The Emirates with 12 months remaining on the current contracts.
