‘Andre Villas-Boas agreed to Tottenham’s summer signings’
Sacked Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas agreed to the club's summer signings, according to Les Ferdinand

Andre Villas-Boas agreed to all Tottenham Hotspur’s summer signings, according to Les Ferdinand.
The Portuguese coach was sacked by Spurs on Monday following an emphatic 5-0 loss to second-placed Liverpool at White Hart Lane.
The bottom line is he agreed to all of those signings

Tottenham spent £107m on Paulinho, Nacer Chadli, Vlad Chiricheș, Roberto Soldado, Christian Eriksen, Erik Lamela and Etienne Capoue in the most recent transfer window.
Villas-Boas appeared to suggest that Tottenham technical director Franco Baldini was in charge of recruitment in the summer before his contract was terminated.
But Ferdinand, who is in temporary charge of Spurs alongside Tim Sherwood, insisted Villas-Boas agreed to all the deals that the north London side completed.
“Most of the signings were perhaps suggestions to him, but he agreed to those suggestions,” Ferdinand told US podcast Beyond the Pitch.
“The bottom line is he agreed to all of those signings. It wasn’t a case that the players were brought in and he was told ‘You have to make a team of these players’, because if you’re a manager and that happens, you’re destined for the sack.
“From speaking to AVB, I understand he was happy that the players came to the club.”
