Andrei Kanchelskis has his say on Man United's clash with Arsenal this weekend
Andrei Kanchelskis is backing Manchester United to continue their fine form by beating Arsenal at The Emirates in the Premier League this weekend.
The Red Devils head into the game fresh from their brilliant 3-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday night as they booked their place in the quarter-finals of the competition.
Arsenal, meanwhile, suffered a disappointing 3-1 loss to Rennes in the last 16 of the Europa League to leave Unai Emery’s men with an uphill task heading into the return leg next week.
Manchester United are currently fourth in the Premier League table but Arsenal can move above them if they win the showdown at The Emirates this weekend.
However, former Manchester United star Kanchelskis is backing the Red Devils to continue their fine form under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and claim all three points this weekend.
Speaking in an interview with bwin, Kanchelskis said: “Manchester United will definitely beat Arsenal this weekend.
“I think they’ll definitely be goals in the game, but when it comes to playing Arsenal it’s all about getting the win and the three points.
“I don’t think anyone will pay too much attention to the performance in these big games.”
Manchester United will discover their opponents for the Champions League quarter-finals when the draw is made next Friday 15 March.
The Red Devils are unbeaten in the Premier League since Solskjaer took over from Jose Mourinho back in December following the Portuguese coach’s sacking.
