Andy Cole: David Moyes’ Man United reign was a recipe for disaster
Andy Cole says David Moyes' reign as Manchester United boss was doomed to fail from the start

David Moyes’ reign in charge of Manchester United was doomed from the start, according to Andy Cole.
The Scot was dismissed after just 10 months at the Old Trafford helm following his appointment as Sir Alex Ferguson’s successor last summer.
They went from playing one way and winning to playing another way and losing

United crashed out of all three cup competitions and limped to a seventh-place finish in the Premier League last season.
And former striker Cole feels that Moyes’ philosophy was never going to bring success to the Red Devils.
“I think they made their mind up geared on results and performances,” Cole is quoted as saying by the Daily Express.
“They went from playing one way and winning to playing another way and losing, not playing attractive football, that doesn’t make anyone happy.
“The fans have watched Sir Alex Ferguson do it for 20 odd years, playing a certain brand of football and winning.
“If Moyes had got the results it would have been different. But not getting results and people not liking the way you play football is always going to be a recipe for disaster.”
