Antonio Conte hits back at Arsene Wenger after Arsenal manager’s dig at Chelsea
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte replies after Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger claimed there was only one team in London

Antonio Conte has hit back at Arsene Wenger after the Arsenal manager claimed there is “only one team in London”.
Quizzed about Alexis Sanchez’s recent comments saying that he is happy to stay in London, Wenger told a news conference on Thursday: “There’s only one team in London, so he is happy!”
It was an interesting comment from the Arsenal manager, given that Chelsea are currently leading the way at the top of the Premier League table, while the Gunners are facing an uphill battle to secure Champions League qualification.
Conte was asked about Wenger’s comments at his news conference at Cobham on Friday afternoon and insisted that he has a great respect for all clubs.
Asked about Wenger’s comments, Conte said: “No, [laughs] I didn’t know this!
“But I think in London there are many teams and tomorrow, for example, is a derby against Crystal Palace. There are many teams in London.
“I like to listen to the other coaches, but I prefer to have a great respect for all the players and all of the clubs.”
Chelsea are currently the heavy favourites to win the Premier League title this season following their sparkling form under new boss Conte.
