Wojciech Szczesny Never tested by the Napoli attack and had a very quiet night. 5/10

Kieran Gibbs Flew forward as Arsenal pressed. The young defender was never really under pressure as all the play was in front of the Arsenal back four. 6

Laurent Koscielny Quiet night for the Frenchman as Napoli played in front of the Arsenal defence with little penetration. Dealt with what he had to well. 6

Per Mertesacker Another steady performance but very rarely tested, won’t have many Champions League nights as easy as this. 6

Bacary Sagna Comfortable in possession, pushed up that right-hand side and rarely troubled defensively. 6

Aaron Ramsey (Man of the match) Had a great first half and led the Napoli midfield a merry dance. Great flick for the first goal and controlled the midfield. Another hugely impressive performance. 8

Mathieu Flamini Solid as ever, once more providing the bite to Arsenal’s midfield and gave them a real stability. Shrewd acquisition. 7

Mikel Arteta Started moves and allowed Rosicky, Özil and Ramsey to fly forward. Rarely put a foot wrong. 6

Mesut Özil Superb finish for the first goal and showed his creative abilities for the second, makes Arsenal tick going forward. 8

Tomas Rosicky Quiet compared to Özil and Ramsey. Went off just after the hour on his return from injury. 5

Olivier Giroud Great flick-on for the first goal and a well-taken finish for the second. Continues to flourish in a team full of attacking talent. 8

Jack Wilshere Ran and ran when he came on and looked a creative presence in midfield. 6

Pepe Reina Not at fault for either goal and denied Koscielny well in the second half. 6

Juan Zuniga Left for dead by Ramsey for the first goal. Positioned himself poorly defensively and both goals came down his side. Looked a threat going forward. 5

Miguel Britos Poor clearance led to second Arsenal goal. All over the place in the first half before settling down in the second. 4

Raul Albiol Struggled with the rest of his defence in the first half but more solid before being substituted. 5

Giandomenico Mesto By no means a bad performance, but the 31-year-old wasn’t a threat going forward. 6

Gokhan Inler Ambitious passes rarely paid off. Beaten too easily for Arsenal’s second. Became more influential as Napoli grew in to the game and was much better second half. 6

Valon Behrami Misplaced far too many passes and failed to have any sort of influence on the game. 5

Lorenzo Insigne Decision-making was poor throughout with lots of long-range shooting when a pass would have been the better option. 5

Marek Hamsik A lot of running in the first 15 minutes but lost the ball and looked frustrated. Came into the game more as he dramatically improved after the interval. 6

Jose Callejón Not involved at all in the first half and not much better second. Substituted with 15 minutes to go. 5

Goran Pandev Very isolated on his own up-front and was rarely on the ball. Substituted in the second half. 5
