Thierry Henry praised Alexandre Lacazette’s reactions after the Arsenal striker broke the deadlock in Monday night’s 2-0 victory over West Brom.

The France international moved to Arsenal in a club-record £52m deal from Ligue 1 side Lyon in the summer transfer window to bolster Arsene Wenger’s attacking options.

Lacazette has already impressed in the number nine shirt following a goal inside two minutes of his Premier League debut in a 4-3 victory over Leicester City.

The 26-year-old continued his goal-scoring run to break the deadlock in the first half after Lacazette reacted quickest to Alexis Sanchez’s free-kick when it rebounded off the woodwork.

Lacazette has now scored four times in the Premier League to move to within two goals of the division’s leading goal-scorers Romelu Lukaku, Sergio Aguero and Alvaro Morata.

Former Arsenal striker Henry, who is the north London club’s leading goal-scorer of all-time, praised the France striker’s precise finish in a 2-0 win at The Emirates.

“That’s what he [Sanchez] does,” Henry told Sky Sports.

“This one ended up in the back of the net from Lacazette after the rebound. The goalkeeper could have done a bit better.

“You expect the striker to react and Lacazette scored a goal.”

Arsenal are unbeaten in the Premier League since a 4-0 loss to title rivals Liverpool at Anfield in August.

The Gunners finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last term to miss out on a Champions League spot.
