Michael Owen states his prediction for Arsenal v Brentford
The Liverpool FC legend believes Arsenal will ease to victory over Brentford in the League Cup third round

Michael Owen is backing Arsenal to avoid a potential upset against Brentford in the League Cup at The Emirates on Wednesday night.
The Gunners have managed to recover from a difficult start to the Premier League season to win their last five games in all competitions.
Arsenal were 4-2 winners against Vorskla in their Europa League opener as Unai Emery looks to win the competition for a third time.
The north London side followed up their success in Europe with a 2-0 win over Everton in front of their home supporters at the weekend.
Arsenal are already eight points adrift of Premier League leaders Liverpool FC to highlight the importance of domestic competitions this season.
The Gunners will take on a Brentford side that are in seventh place in the Championship standings ahead of their trip to The Emirates.
Former Liverpool FC striker Owen believes Arsenal will ease to a comfortable win over Brentford in the League Cup third round.
“Arsenal haven’t lost at home in the League Cup to opposition outside the top-flight since November 1983 (Walsall) and promotion is Brentford’s primary objective this season,” Owen told BetVictor.
“That said I expect the Bees to give the Gunners a real game at the Emirates.
“Arsenal rode their luck against Everton on Sunday and are some way off where Unai Emery needs them to be if they are to make a realistic challenge for the top four this term. I do expect the Gunners to win what promises to be an entertaining clash.”
Arsenal finished in sixth place in the Premier League table last term to miss out on a spot in the Champions League.
The Gunners haven’t won the Premier League title since 2003-04 when Arsenal finished the campaign unbeaten.
