Arsenal could use Aaron Ramsey as bait in their bid to sign FC Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele this summer, according to a report in England.
The Sun is reporting that the Gunners would be willing to exchange Ramsey for Dembele after FC Barcelona were linked with a move to sign the Wales international.
The same article states that if the La Liga champions do manage to reach an agreement with Arsenal to sign Ramsey then Dembele could move in the other direction.
According to the same story, FA Cup winners Chelsea FC are also monitoring Ramsey’s situation with view to a potential move to sign the 27-year-old box-to-box midfielder.
Ramsey has under 12 months left to run on his current deal at Arsenal to open the door to a potential move next summer on a free transfer.
The Welsh midfielder’s representatives have been in negotiations to sign a contract extension at the north London side.
Ramsey has won three FA Cup titles during his Arsenal career so far after his move to Cardiff City in the 2008 summer transfer window.
The Gunners finished in sixth place in the Premier League table last season to miss out on a spot in Champions League.
