Arsenal display at Southampton not good enough, admits Wenger
Arsene Wenger admits that his Arsenal side will have to improve their performances after draw at Southampton

Arsene Wenger admits that his Arsenal side will have to improve their performances if they are to win the Premier League title this season.
The Gunners surrendered top spot in the table after they were held to a 2-2 draw by Southampton at St Mary’s on Tuesday night, before Manchester City swept aside Tottenham to move above the north Londoners.

And Wenger, whose side host Crystal Palace at Emirates Stadium on Sunday, acknowledges that the north Londoners must step up their performance level after the disappointment of dropping points against the Saints.
“We have to look at ourselves and only think we have to move forward,” Wenger, whose side are now a point behind City, told Arsenal Player. “If you continue to move forward week after week you will make the difference.
“The kind of performance we delivered at Southampton will not move us forward so let’s focus to come back on Sunday and produce a good performance.
“Our future lies there, to be capable to repeat a top-level performance that demands top level-commitment in every single game.
“This team has commitment, character, intelligence and when we were questioned we always respond well. That’s what is at stake on Sunday for us.”
