Arsenal have desire to be champions, declares Arsene Wenger
Arsene Wenger says his Arsenal side have demonstrated their "desire" to be champions this season after their impressive start

Arsene Wenger says his Arsenal side have already demonstrated their “desire” to be champions this season after their impressive start.
The Gunners are currently two points clear at the top of the Premier League table after sealing a 2-1 win at Swansea City on Saturday.
Arsenal have not lifted the top-flight trophy since their unbeaten triumph back in the 2003-04 campaign.
But Wenger feels his side have signalled their intent this season after winning all five games following their defeat by Aston Villa in their first match of the new campaign.
“We have the desire to be champions, you can see that,” Wenger said. “It’s still the early stages of the season, we have only played six games, but I would have signed up to have 15 points now after losing the first game.
“Let’s just try and keep going. We have a chance but it is very open. You can add Liverpool, Tottenham and Everton to the top four, it will be very interesting.
“What has changed compared to years before is that at 80 per cent you will not beat any team in the Premier League. You have to be at least between 95 and 100 per cent and that promises a very interesting season.”
