Jamie Redknapp instructs new Arsenal boss how to get best out of Aaron Ramsey
The Liverpool legend offers advice to Arsenal manager Unai Emery about getting the best out of Aaron Ramsey

Jamie Redknapp believes Unai Emery needs to give Aaron Ramsey more direction to get the best out of the Arsenal star.
The Wales international is facing a vital season at the Emirates Stadium with his contract set to expire at the end of the Premier League season.
Ramsey has been linked with a potential move to Chelsea FC and Liverpool FC over the past few weeks to cast doubt on his Arsenal future.
The 27-year-old has won three FA Cup titles at the north London side after Ramsey opted to move to Arsenal ahead of Manchester United in the 2008 summer transfer window.
Ramsey’s career has been interrupted with persistent injuries following 58 goals in 327 appearances in all competitions over the past 10 seasons at The Emirates.
Former Liverpool FC captain Redknapp offered Emery some advice on how to get the best out of Ramsey ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
“I’m expecting big things from Ramsey this season,” Redknapp told the Daily Mail.
“Unai Emery must look at the midfielder and think, ‘Why haven’t Arsenal got the best from him?’
“What Emery has to do is give him more direction. There has been no pressure on any of the Arsenal players for the last few years under Arsene Wenger but now each will be given a defined role.
“Emery must tell Ramsey that his job is to make late runs into the box and score Frank Lampard-style goals.
“He has one year left on his contract and it is vital that Emery keeps him at the Emirates. Start the season in scintillating form and I can see Ramsey signing a new long-term deal.”
Arsenal finished in sixth place in the Premier League table last season to secure a spot in the Europa League after exiting at the semi-final stage last term.
The Gunners haven’t won the Premier League title since 2005 when the north London side finished the season without a defeat.
