Arsene Wenger warned Alexis Sanchez has ‘chucked in the towel’ at Arsenal
Tim Sherwood warns Arsene Wenger that Alexis Sanchez isn't committed to Arsenal any more

Tim Sherwood has warned Arsenal that Alexis Sanchez has “chucked in the towel” at The Emirates this season.
The Chile international has allowed his high standards to slip in the 2017-18 season amid talk of a potential move to Manchester City.
The Premier League leaders attempted to sign Sanchez in the summer but Arsenal couldn’t get a deal to bring in Thomas Lemar to replace the number seven over the line.
The South American has little over seven months left on his current Arsenal deal to raise serious concerns about his long-term future.
Arsenal could be tempted to cash in on the 28-year-old in the January transfer window to avoid losing the South American star for nothing next summer.
Former Spurs boss Sherwood believes Sanchez’s poor attitude is emphasised by Mesut Ozil’s performances for Arsenal over the past month.
“Sanchez has gone the other way,” Sherwood told BBC Radio 5 Live.
“He looks like he has chucked the towel in and trying to say, ‘why would you want to keep me because I don’t want to be here any more’?”
The South American scored Arsenal’s first goal in a 3-3 draw with top-six rivals Liverpool FC at The Emirates on Friday night.
Arsenal signed Sanchez in a £35m deal from La Liga giants Barcelona in the 2014 summer transfer window.
The Gunners forward has scored five goals and has made three assists in 16 appearances in the Premier League this term.
