Henrikh Mkhitaryan sends message to Arsenal supporters about tough start
The Arsenal star reflects on a tough start to the new Premier League season

Henrikh Mkhitaryan has urged Arsenal to learn from their mistakes after a tough start to the Premier League season.
The Gunners suffered a 2-0 loss to defending Premier League champions Manchester City in their opening fixture at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal adopted an attacking approach for their trip to Stamford Bridge but ultimately suffered a 3-2 loss to Chelsea FC on Saturday evening.
Mkhitaryan halved the deficit following early goals from Pedro Rodriguez and Alvaro Morata before Alex Iwobi levelled before half-time.
Eden Hazard came off the bench to tee up Marcos Alonso to score the winner with nine minutes to go at Stamford Bridge.
The Armenia international was criticised for forfeiting his defensive duties during the five-goal thriller in west London.
Speaking to Arsenal’s website ahead of the north London side’s home clash against West Ham United next Saturday, Mkhitaryan said:
“We won’t face Chelsea and Manchester City in the next games, so it doesn’t make a difference who we’re playing now.
“It’s a very good opportunity for us to play against them and see what level we are at, what mistakes we’re making and looking at the next step to improve and be better.”
Mkhitaryan moved to Arsenal from Manchester United in a swap deal as Alexis Sanchez moved in the other direction to Old Trafford.
The Gunners finished in sixth spot in the Premier League table last season to miss out on a Champions League spot.
The north London side lost 3-0 to Manchester City in the League Cup final at Wembley last term.
