Martin Keown instructs Arsenal how to get best out of Mesut Ozil
The Arsenal legend believes Unai Emery needs to get Mesut Ozil to enjoy playing football again

Martin Keown believes Arsenal manager Unai Emery needs to ensure Mesut Ozil is enjoying his football to get the best out of the German star.
The World Cup winner has endured a disappointing start to the season following muted performances in a 2-0 loss to Manchester City and a 3-2 defeat by Chelsea FC.
Ozil was a noticeable absentee from Emery’s match day squad for Arsenal’s 3-1 win over West Ham United at The Emirates last weekend.
The German playmaker’s absence fuelled reports of a bust up with the new Arsenal manager after Emery replaced Arsene Wenger in the summer.
Ozil has struggled to replicate his Real Madrid performances on a consistent basis since his move to Arsenal in a £42.5m deal in 2013.
The 29-year-old has been particularly disappointing in the past two seasons but his retirement from international will allow Ozil to focus on club football.
Former Arsenal star Keown believes Emery needs to restore Ozil’s enjoyment when it comes to playing football to get the best out of their number 10.
“Emery must help Ozil as much as he possibly can to get him back enjoying his football,” Keown told the Daily Mail.
“Ozil is an immense talent who plays for fun but I have not seen that enjoyment in his game for some time.”
Arsenal finished in sixth spot in the Premier League table last season to miss out on a place in the Champions League in successive seasons.
The Gunners haven’t won the Premier League title since 2003-04.
