Jamie Redknapp believes Arsenal have increased their intensity under Arsene Wenger’s replacement Unai Emery.
The Gunners turned to the Spanish head coach after Emery led Paris Saint-Germain to the Ligue 1 title in the 2017-18 campaign.
Arsenal appointed Emery as their new manager after Arsene Wenger led the Gunner to a disappointing sixth-placed finish.
The north London side signed five players in the summer transfer window to bolster Emery’s squad ahead of the new Premier League season.
The Gunners lost to Manchester City and Chelsea FC in their opening two Premier League games to make an unconvincing start.
However, Emery’s side have eased to victories in their last three Premier League games after beating Newcastle United, Cardiff City and West Ham.
Former Tottenham captain Redknapp believes there are encouraging signs that Emery is improving the Gunners following his appointment.
“They are playing out from the back and there is definitely an intensity to Arsenal’s play that we’ve not seen in previous years,” Redknapp told Sky Sports. “I would be encouraged by that if I was an Arsenal supporter. It shows that Emery is beginning to have an impact.”
Arsenal will take on Everton in their next Premier League game at The Emirates on Sunday afternoon in pursuit of a fourth successive top-flight victory.
The Gunners finished in sixth spot in the Premier League table to miss out on a place in the Champions League for the second successive campaign.
The north London side haven’t won the Premier League title since 2003-04 when the Gunners finished the season unbeaten.
