Arsenal legend thrilled with ‘tough goal-scorer’ Alexis Sánchez
Arsenal legend Ray Parlour believes Alexis Sánchez will bring a good goal-scoring rate to the Gunners

Ray Parlour believes “tough” new Arsenal signing Alexis Sánchez will prove a prolific goal-scorer at The Emirates.
The Chile international penned a long-term deal with the north London side on Thursday after Arsenal agreed a reported £35m deal with Barcelona.
I’m sure the Arsenal fans are delighted. He’s going to be a top player, he’s good value and he’s a good age

Sánchez scored 19 goals and made 10 assists in 34 La Liga appearances last season, taking his tally to 47 strikes in 141 games after joining from Udinese in 2011.
“Usually in the transfer market they wait until the last minute and try and get their man and sometimes fail to get who they want,” Parlour told talkSPORT.
“But this time round it’s a positive move. He’s had a great tournament. I was lucky enough to see him in the Brazil-Chile game and at times he got kicked a lot but he came back and wanted more and he certainly might get that in the Premier League a little bit.
“So he’s tough, he’s mobile, he can score goals and he’s got pace. I can see him fitting in on that left hand side of the striker or you can put him up front.”
Parlour, who won three Premier League titles and four FA Cups during his Gunners career, backed Sánchez to develop into a top player at the north London outfit.
“I’m sure the Arsenal fans are delighted. He’s going to be a top player, he’s good value and he’s a good age.
“I’m sure he will definitely make things a lot more competitive and he brings a good goal-scoring rate too.”
