Paul Merson is tipping Liverpool FC to edge to a 2-1 win against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Friday night.
The Merseyside outfit will make the trip to the English capital looking to extend their unbeaten run to nine games in the Premier League.
Liverpool FC haven’t lost a Premier League game since a 4-1 defeat by Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley back in September.
The Reds were 4-0 winners against Arsene Wenger’s side in their Premier League meeting at Anfield back in August.
Goals from Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah, Daniel Sturridge and Sadio Mane sealed a resounding victory.
Liverpool FC were 4-3 winners against Arsenal in their Premier League meeting at the Emirates Stadium at the start of the 2016-17 campaign.
Arsenal had a 100 per cent record at The Emirates this season before a 3-1 loss to bitter rivals Manchester United at the start of December.
Former Arsenal midfielder Merson is tipping the Gunners to ease to a 2-1 win against Liverpool FC on Friday night.
“So hard to predict with these two. One thing you can be sure of is there will be goals,” Merson told Sky Sports.
Some big games fizzle out, but this isn’t one of them. More often than not it delivers.
“Arsenal still make chances, they are just not putting the ball in the back of the net, and Liverpool, of course, are dangerous on the counter. Going forward they are immense, but defensively they aren’t as strong. Arsenal could wipe the floor with Liverpool, and vice versa. Horrible game to predict.”
Liverpool FC signed four players in the summer transfer window to bolster their squad ahead of a return to the Champions League.
The Reds have won their last three Premier League games having scored 11 times in those successive victories.
