Arsenal are hoping to complete a deal to sign Kerem Demirbay but face competition from Liverpool FC for the Hoffenheim star, according to a report in England

Arsenal will face competition from Liverpool FC to sign Hoffenheim midfielder Kerem Demirbay, according to a report in England.
The London Evening Standard is reporting that the Arsenal are interested in a potential deal to sign Hoffenheim star Demirbay in the summer transfer window.
The same article states that Liverpool FC are also interested in a move to sign the 24-year-old at the end of the 2017-18 Bundesliga campaign.
According to the same story, Demirbay is a long-term target for Arsenal’s new head of recruitment Sven Mislintat, who previously worked at Borussia Dortmund.
Liverpool FC will know all about Demirbay after the Reds were 6-4 winners against Hoffenheim on aggregate in their Champions League playoff back in August.
The 24-year-old has scored two goals and has made three assists in 15 appearances in the Bundesliga this season.
The German starlet has also made three assists in four games in this season’s Europa League competition.
Liverpool FC could lose German midfielder Emre Can at the end of the season with his contract set to expire in the summer.
Brazil international Roberto Firmino moved to Liverpool FC from Hoffenheim in a £29m deal in the 2015 summer transfer window.
