Arsenal making ‘slow progress’ in race to sign top 18-year-old striker – report
Arsenal aren't making a lot of headway in their bid to sign Kylian Mbappe from AS Monaco this summer, according to reports

Arsenal are making slow progress in their attempt to sign AS Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe this summer, according to reports in the English media.
The Evening Standard is reporting that the Gunners have made little headway in their bid to sign the 18-year-old striker since the French club rejected an £87m offer from Arsenal for Mbappe.
The same article states that the north London side officially denied making a club-record offer for the teenager, but Arsenal are still interested in signing Mbappe.
However, the FA Cup winners could have to cough up a world-record £120m offer after the Ligue 1 titles placed a hefty price tag on their precocious talent in the summer transfer window.
According to the Evening Standard, Monaco are prepared to offer the 18-year-old a staggering £140,000 a week in order to convince Mbappe to remain at the French champions.
The Gunners finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season to miss out on a place in next season’s Champions League.
Mbappe helped AS Monaco to reach the last four of the competition before a 4-2 loss to Juventus last term thanks to his return of six goals in nine games in Europe’s premier club competition.
