The Arsenal legend is hoping that the Gunners can find a way to beat Manchester City in the League Cup final on Sunday

Ian Wright is optimistic that Arsenal are capable of beating Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley on Sunday afternoon.
The Gunners are understandably underdogs to win the League Cup for the first time under Arsene Wenger given Manchester City’s dominance this term.
Arsenal are in sixth place in the Premier League table and a staggering 28 points behind the runaway Premier League leaders.
The Gunners lost 3-1 to Pep Guardiola’s side at The Etihad in the Premier League earlier this season in a one-sided top-flight clash.
The north London side beat Premier League leaders Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final last term en route to winning the Wembley showpiece.
Arsenal lost 2-1 to Birmingham City in the League Cup final in 2011 after the Gunners suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Chelsea FC in 2007.
The club’s former striker Wright is optimistic that Arsenal can secure a positive result against the Citizens in the League Cup final at Wembley on Sunday afternoon.
“I will still go for Arsenal because I want them to win so badly,” Wright told Sky Sports.
“The Arsenal fans need something.”
Arsenal signed Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in a club record £56m deal in the January transfer window.
Armenia international Henrikh Mkhitaryan moved to Arsenal in a swap deal from Manchester United last month.
