Arsenal and Manchester United have both submitted enquiries for Southampton midfielder Mario Lemina, according to a report in England.
The Daily Mail, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that Arsenal and Manchester United are keeping tabs on the Gabon international in the summer transfer window.
The same article states that Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl is willing to sell the 25-year-old this summer to raise transfer funds at St Mary’s.
According to the same story, Arsenal and Manchester United will face competition from their Premier League rivals Leicester City and Serie A outfit Atalanta for his signature.
Arsenal boss Unai Emery is thought to be keen to add a new midfielder to his squad this summer following Aaron Ramsey’s move to Serie A giants Juventus.
Manchester United are also looking for a replacement for their club record signing Paul Pogba in case the French star decides to seek a new challenge.
Pogba has been linked with a return to Juventus or a move to Real Madrid this summer.
Lemina moved to Southampton in a club record £15.4m deal from Juventus in the 2017 summer transfer window.
The Gabonese midfielder has scored one goal in 49 appearances in all competitions during his stint at St Mary’s.
Lemina is a two-time Serie A winner and won the Coppa Italia during his two seasons in Turin.
