Arsenal need to give Mesut Ozil time, insists Ray Parlour
Arsenal need to give Mesut Ozil more time to recover his best form, according to Ray Parlour
Arsenal must be patient with under-performing Mesut Ozil, according to Gunners legend Ray Parlour.
The Germany international produced another disappointing performance as the Gunners played out a 2-2 draw with Premier League champions Manchester City.
I just hope he can find that bit of form, get that goal and confidence, and get back to the player he was

Ozil has struggled to recapture his best form from early in his Arsenal career after completing a club-record £42.5m move from Real Madrid in 2013.
Former Arsenal midfielder Parlour defended the 25-year-old German playmaker, backing Ozil to improve in the coming months.
“He’s not been top class at the moment, but you’ve got to give him a bit of time,” Parlour told talkSPORT.
“I’m not sure how much time you give him though. Certainly he’s got a lot of competition behind him, people like [Santi] Cazorla, [Alex] Oxlade-Chamberlain and [Mikel] Arteta – lots of midfielders.
“I just hope he can find that bit of form, get that goal and confidence, and get back to the player he was. It is tough though when people come to a different league and don’t settle quick.”
