Gary Neville raves about ‘graceful and elegant’ Arsenal starlet
Gary Neville is clearly a keen admirer of Arsenal youngster Ainsley Maitland-Niles
Gary Neville has heaped praise on Ainsley Maitland-Niles following his strong performances for Arsenal in recent weeks.
The 20-year-old was called into action to replace the injured Sead Kolasinac in the first half of the Gunners’ 1-1 draw with West Brom at The Hawthorns on Sunday.
Maitland-Niles featured for 53 minutes as he helped Arsene Wenger’s men claim a point in their final game of 2017.
The youngster has been impressive whenever called upon this season and he has already made six appearances in the Premier League so far this term.
And former Manchester United defender Neville is clearly a big fan of Maitland-Niles.
Speaking during Sky Sports‘ coverage of the game on Sunday, Neville said: “He looks very good.
“Obviously he’s not a left-back, but when you see him on the ball, he’s so graceful, elegant and composed.”
Arsenal return to Premier League action on Wednesday night with a crunch clash against Chelsea at The Emirates.
The Gunners are currently in fifth place in the Premier League table as they look to try and break back into the top four this season and qualify for next term’s Champions League.
Arsenal, who have not won the title since their famous unbeaten triumph in 2003-04, finished fifth in the table last term as they were forced to settle for Europa League football this time around.
