Alan Shearer makes prediction about Arsenal this season
Alan Shearer looks ahead to Arsenal's season after they made a number of new signings

Alan Shearer has admitted that he is expecting to see Arsenal impress up front this season but is tipping the Gunners to struggle defensively.
The north London side were one of the big spenders in the summer transfer window as they moved to bring in some key new names ahead of the new campaign.
Arsenal signed Gabriel Martinelli, William Saliba, David Luiz, Kieran Tierney, Nicolas Pepe and Dani Ceballos on loan from Real Madrid.
The Gunners will now have their sights firmly set on breaking back into the top four this season after they ended up fifth and without a trophy last term in Unai Emery’s first campaign in charge.
Arsenal raised a few eyebrows with their decision to sign David Luiz from Chelsea FC on deadline day, and former England international Shearer has admitted that he is not the biggest fan of the Brazilian from a defensive perspective.
Writing in his column for BBC Sport, Shearer said: “[Arsenal’s spending spree] was a bit strange because it came after reports that they did not have much money.
“Yes, they have brought in David Luiz and Kieran Tierney but I am not sure that will stop them conceding, because I am not a huge fan of Luiz defensively.
“But at least Arsenal will carry a big threat up front. From an ex-striker’s point of view, their attack is going to be very exciting and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette and Nicolas Pepe are going to score a lot of goals.”
Arsenal will kick off their new Premier League campaign when they take on Newcastle United away from home on Sunday afternoon.
The Gunners have not won the title since their famous unbeaten triumph in 2003-04.
