Alan Smith predicts where Arsenal are going to finish
Alan Smith is backing Arsenal to miss out on a top-four finish in the Premier League this season and end up fifth

Alan Smith is backing Arsenal to miss out on a top four finish in the Premier League in Unai Emery’s first season in charge at the club.
The Gunners are currently getting used to life under their new manager after Emery was appointed as the club’s new manager following Arsene Wenger’s exit at the end of last season.
Arsenal began the new campaign with a disappointing 2-0 loss to Manchester City at The Emirates on Sunday afternoon as Emery’s first top-flight game in charge ended in defeat.
The Spanish manager must now rally his troops as he prepare for Arsenal’s crunch clash against Chelsea FC at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.
Arsenal finished in sixth place and without a trophy in Wenger’s final campaign in charge at the club last season.
And Smith believes that Arsenal are set to finish fifth and miss out on Champions League qualification for the third season running.
Speaking in an interview with Sky Sports, Smith said: “While Arsenal will not finish in the top four, it will still be a season of learning and improvement under Emery.”
Arsenal are set to take on a Chelsea FC side who won their Premier League opener with an impressive 3-0 victory over Huddersfield Town in what was Maurizio Sarri’s first game in charge.
