Sky Sports pundit: Arsenal fans should be excited ahead of new season
Alan Smith has his say on Arsenal's summer transfer business

Alan Smith believes that Arsenal fans should “quite rightly be very excited” ahead of the new Premier League season.
The north London side were one of the busiest clubs in the top half of the table in the summer window as they made a number of new additions ahead of Unai Emery’s second campaign in charge.
Arsenal signed Gabriel Martinelli, Nicolas Pepe, Dani Ceballos on loan, William Saliba, Kieran Tierney and David Luiz in what was an unusually busy window for the north Londoners.
The Gunners completed deadline day deals for defensive pair Tierney and David Luiz as Emery looked to address his side’s options at the back ahead of the new campaign.
Arsenal fans will now be looking forward to the new campaign, which gets under way with a trip to Newcastle United on Sunday afternoon.
And former Gunner Smith feels that the north London side have had a fantastic summer transfer window, rating their business as “A+”.
Smith told Sky Sports: “They brought in Kieran Tierney, which was their first port of call.
“And Nicolas Pepe is also an exciting addition. So Arsenal fans will quite rightly be very excited.”
Arsenal will be looking to try and break back into the top four this season after they finished fifth and without a trophy under Emery last term. They also lost the Europa League final to Chelsea FC last season.
