Arsenal boss Wenger could change stance on Sanchez with £70m bid – report
A big-money bid from Manchester City could tempt Arsenal into selling Alexis Sanchez this summer, say reports

A bid of more than £70m could tempt Arsene Wenger into changing his mind and selling Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez to Manchester City this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Independent is reporting that Manchester City are considering making a final bid for the Chile international as they look to try and lure him to The Etihad before next Thursday’s transfer deadline.
The story says that the Citizens are ready to make “one last push” to try and land Sanchez this summer following the relentless speculation about the 28-year-old’s future.
The same report says that Manchester City were initially surprised by Wenger’s hardline stance and refusal to sell Sanchez this summer, despite him having less than 12 months left on his current deal.
It is claimed in the same article that Manchester City were originally confident that they would be able to sign Sanchez in a deal worth around £40m, but that Wenger has made it clear that Arsenal do not want to sell the attacker.
However, it now remains to be seen whether a potential big-money bid from Manchester City before next Thursday’s deadline could change Wenger’s mind about the Chile international.
Arsenal are currently preparing to take on Liverpool at Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
