Andrey Arshavin sets Arsenal a target for the season
Andrey Arshavin says Arsenal should focus on finishing in the top four under Unai Emery this season

Andrey Arshavin says Arsenal’s target for the season should be finishing in the Premier League’s top four.
The north London club have made a solid start to the new campaign after having won both of their opening games against Newcastle United and Burnley.
Arsenal will now face a stern test of their Premier League credentials when they take on Liverpool FC at Anfield on Saturday evening looking to preserve their perfect start.
The Gunners will then host Tottenham Hotspur in the north London derby at The Emirates on Sunday 1 September.
Arsenal’s main target this season will indeed be to break back into the top four after they finished in fifth place and lost the Europa League final to Chelsea FC last term.
And former Gunners star Arshavin reckons that finishing in the top four to secure a return to the Champions League would be a great achievement for Unai Emery.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, Arshavin said: “It’s difficult to replace a guy who managed the team for more than 20 years.
“Unai Emery is not in a good position, I would say. But I would say the first year for him was not bad.
“He is building the team and he needs time. I hope he does well.
“I think the realistic target is to be in the top four because Manchester City and Liverpool are very strong.”
Arsenal brought in Emery as Arsene Wenger’s successor at The Emirates back in May of last year.
The Gunners have not won the Premier League title since their famous unbeaten triumph in the 2003-04 campaign.
