Arsenal star: Why I don’t want to face Chelsea FC in Europa League final
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang reveals why he doesn't want Arsenal to face Chelsea FC in the Europa League final

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has admitted that he doesn’t want Arsenal to have to face Chelsea FC in the Europa League final this season.
Arsenal took a step towards booking their place in the showpiece of Europe’s second-tier club competition last week when they came from a goal down to claim a 3-1 win over Valencia at The Emirates.
Meanwhile, Chelsea FC are also vying for a place in the final and they played out a 1-1 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt in the first leg of their semi-final clash in Germany next week.
Arsenal’s hopes of finishing in the Premier League’s top four this season are looking very slim after their 1-1 draw with Brighton on Sunday – and so winning the Europa League represents another route into the Champions League for next season for the Gunners.
And Arsenal striker Aubameyang has admitted that he doesn’t want to come up against Chelsea FC in the final, saying he would much rather face Frankfurt in the final.
Speaking in an interview quoted by Metro, Aubameyang said: “No, I don’t want them [Chelsea FC in the final].
“We know they are a great team but hopefully first we will go to the final and then I prefer to play Frankfurt, because we have already played against Chelsea.
“I know Frankfurt are really good and if we both go through to the final it will be a hard one.”
Arsenal will travel to Valencia on Thursday night for the return leg of their Europa League semi-final clash, while Chelsea FC will host Frankfurt at Stamford Bridge.
Arsenal will then take on Burnley away from home next Sunday in their final Premier League game of the season, with Chelsea FC travelling to Leicester City.
