Arsenal and Chelsea FC are set to battle for the signature of Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak in the summer, say reports

Arsenal and Chelsea FC are set to battle it out for the signature of Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak in the summer transfer window, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Express is reporting that both of the London clubs are keen to try and sign the 25-year-old shot-stopper as they look to bolster their rearguard options this summer.
The same story says that Arsenal have put the Slovenian at the top of their transfer wish-list as they look to try and secure the signing of a long-term replacement for Petr Cech.
Cech is approaching the end of his career and he will turn 36 in May.
The article claims that the goalkeeper has a staggering £88m release clause in his contract with the Spanish side, however.
According to the same report, Chelsea FC also have Oblak high on their list of potential recruits this summer amid the speculation surrounding Thibaut Courtois’ long-term future at Stamford Bridge.
Courtois has been linked with a move to Spain and his current contract at Chelsea FC is set to expire at the end of next season.
The story also claims that Liverpool FC are “watching” developments as Jurgen Klopp considers bolstering his options between the posts this summer.
