Arsenal make fresh £44m bid to sign Sampdoria duo – report
Arsenal have made an improved bid to try and sign Sampdoria duo Dennis Praet and Joachim Andersen, according to reports

Arsenal have made a new and improved £44m bid to sign Sampdoria duo Dennis Praet and Joachim Andersen, according to reports in Italy.
Italian outlet Sampnews24, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Gunners have returned with an increased offer for the duo after having their original £37m bid turned down by Sampdoria last week.
The same story says that Arsenal have now offered €50m (£44m) to try and sign the duo as they look to try and kick off their summer transfer business.
It is also claimed in the same report that Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero is now ready to accept the bid.
Belgian midfielder Praet, 25, scored two goals and made three assists in 34 Serie A appearances for Sampdoria last season.
Meanwhile, Danish defender Andersen, 23, made one assist in 32 Serie A games for the Italian club.
Arsenal are thought to be on the lookout for a number of signings this summer after the Gunners finished in fifth place in the Premier League table and without a trophy under Unai Emery.
The Gunners were beaten by Chelsea FC in the Europa League final in Baku as they squandered their last hope of qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
