Unai Emery fires warning at Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey
Unai Emery tells Aaron Ramsey to focus on his displays for Arsenal and forget about his contract situation

Unai Emery has told Aaron Ramsey to focus on his performances for Arsenal and forget about his contract situation.
The Wales international’s future at the north London club has been a source of uncertainty recently after he entered into the final year of his current deal with the Gunners.
Ramsey has inevitably been linked with a move away from Arsenal this summer, with the north London club likely to be keen to avoid losing him on a free transfer next summer if he doesn’t sign a new deal.
However, despite the off-field distractions, Emery believes that Ramsey can be an important part of his Arsenal squad, and the Gunners boss wants to see the midfielder focus on his displays for the north London side.
Speaking at his pre-match news conference on Friday, Emery said: “I spoke with him last week.
“I said: I want you focused only on training and only on the match, you show us the capacity to help the team.
“The contract is another thing for his agent and the club but we want and I need his focus only on training, only on the match and on his performance each day.”
Emery has been tasked with steering Arsenal back into the top four this season after they finished in sixth place in the table and without a trophy last term.
Arsene Wenger opted to step down at the end of last season and Emery was swiftly appointed as the club’s new manager back in May.
The Gunners have not won the Premier League since their famous unbeaten triumph in the 2003-04 campaign.
