Emmanuel Petit sends open message to Arsenal fans
Emmanuel Petit admits that he was not impressed by Arsenal's transfer policy during the summer window

Emmanuel Petit has admitted that he is not happy about Arsenal’s transfer policy and says he was disappointed to see the Gunners only sign two players this summer.
The Gunners were linked with a host of different players throughout the summer transfer window but the north London side only ended up bringing in Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette.
Arsenal also opted to let midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain leave the club to join Liverpool in a deal believed to be worth around £35m on deadline day.
The Gunners have found themselves under intense pressure so far this season after having lost two of their opening three games, including a 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Liverpool at Anfield last time out.
And Arsenal legend Petit admits that he was puzzled by the north London side’s dealings in the summer transfer window.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Petit said: “This will be the toughest season he [Arsene Wenger] has had.
“I was disappointed only two players – Alexandre Lacazette and Sead Kolasinac – arrived. I thought there would be more.
“I don’t understand the club’s transfer policy. But as much as it is down to Arsene what happens this season, the players also have a huge part to play.”
Arsenal will look to return to winning ways when the Gunners take on Bournemouth at The Emirates on Saturday afternoon.
The north London side, who have not won the title since 2004, are looking to break back into the Champions League spots this year after missing out on a top-four finish last season and having to settle for Europa League football.
