FC Barcelona attacker wants to join Arsenal this month – report
Denis Suarez is keen on a move to Arsenal this month but FC Barcelona are looking to do a permanent deal rather than a loan, according to reports
Denis Suarez wants to join Arsenal this month – but FC Barcelona are trying to sell the attacker to Sevilla or Real Betis, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the 25-year-old is keen on a move to The Emirates this month as Unai Emery looks to bolster his attacking options before the transfer window closes.
However, the “sticking point” in the proposed deal is the fact that Arsenal want to initially sign him on loan, while FC Barcelona are more keen on a permanent transfer, the article claims.
The same story says that Arsenal are looking to do a loan deal to land Suarez because of the lack of funds for a permanent transfer this month.
The article goes on to claim that Emery is “refusing to give up” on the prospect of landing Suarez this month as the north London side look to complete their first January signing.
It is being claimed in the same article that both Sevilla and Real Betis are prepared to pay a transfer fee of around £18m to sign Suarez on a permanent deal this month.
Suarez has been heavily linked with a move away from Camp Nou this month due to his lack of playing time for FC Barcelona.
The attacker has only featured twice from the bench in La Liga this season, playing just 17 minutes in total.
