Arsenal are ready to offload Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the summer transfer window, according to reports in the British media.

The Sun is reporting that the Gunners will not stand in the 30-year-old’s way if he wants to leave The Emirates this summer.

Mkhitaryan has not been included in the Arsenal squad travelling to Baku for the Europa League final next week due to political tensions between his home country of Armenia and the host nation.

According to the same report, there is a general acceptance that Mkhitaryan will leave Arsenal this summer after failing to make much of an impact at The Emirates.

It is also claimed in the same story that Arsenal would “dearly” love to get Mesut Ozil off the books at The Emirates, but the German has indicated that he wants to stay.

The 30-year-old Mkhitaryan scored six goals and made four assists in 25 Premier League games for Arsenal this season as they finished fifth in the table.

He also made three assists in the Europa League to help the Gunners set up a final showdown with Chelsea FC in Baku on Wednesday night.

Arsenal are aiming to win the Europa League and seal a route into next season’s Champions League after their fifth-placed finish in the Premier League.
