Rio Ferdinand makes demand of ‘fantastically talented’ Arsenal star
Rio Ferdinand delivers his verdict on Jack Wilshere are his recent return to the Arsenal starting line-up

Rio Ferdinand says he wants to see Jack Wilshere step his game up and perform consistently for Arsenal in the coming weeks and months.
The England midfielder made his first Premier League start of the season for the north London side on Wednesday night as the Gunners played out a goalless draw with West Ham United at the London Stadium.
Wilshere was impressive throughout and was one of the Gunners’ best players despite the frustration of Arsene Wenger’s men having to settle for a point in east London.
The 25-year-old has struggled for form and fitness over the years but now seems like he is back to something like his best form for the north London side.
Former Manchester United defender Ferdinand is clearly a keen admirer of the midfielder but he now wants to see Wilshere deliver on a consistent basis.
Speaking to BT Sport on Wednesday night, Ferdinand said: “I want to see assists and goals [from Wilshere]. I need to see end product.
“If I’m sitting behind someone who plays like that, I want to see assists, chances created and goals. Affect the game.
“I think he’s got the talent to do that, he’s a fantastically talented player.”
Wilshere will be hoping to start for Arsenal once again when the Gunners return to Premier League action on Saturday with a home clash against Newcastle United.
The north London side have been struggling to find consistent form in recent weeks and have slipped down to seventh place in the Premier League table.
