Jack Wilshere rates Unai Emery’s first season at Arsenal
Jack Wilshere has his say on Unai Emery's first season in charge of Arsenal

Jack Wilshere believes that Arsenal have had a good first season under Unai Emery this term.
The Gunners brought in the Spaniard as Arsene Wenger’s permanent replacement last summer and it has been something of a mixed campaign for the north London side.
Arsenal showed promise at various stages of the campaign but their miserable run of form towards the end of the season has caused them to fall out of contention for a top-four finish.
The north London side are fifth in the table and look unlikely to be able to catch Tottenham Hotspur in the race for fourth place heading into the final game of the season this weekend.
Arsenal are still in with a chance of winning a trophy and qualifying for next season’s Champions League by winning the Europa League this term.
The Gunners will travel to Valencia for the return leg of their semi-final tie having won the first leg 3-1 last week.
And former Arsenal midfielder Wilshere believes that the Gunners can be content with the progress they have made under Emery this term.
Speaking in an interview quoted by Metro, Wilshere said: “[Arsenal] obviously had a few opportunities to cement their place in there, but it wasn’t to be.
“But they’ve still got the Europa League, and that’s another way in if they don’t get in via the top four.
“But I think they’ve had a good year. I think they’ll be happy, the fans will be happy, and hopefully they can win the Europa League and end with a trophy.”
Arsenal will take on Burnley away from home in their final Premier League game of the season on Sunday.
