Robert Pires raves about 20-year-old Arsenal youngster
Robert Pires is backing Kostas Mavropanos to be a top player for Arsenal in the coming seasons

Robert Pires says he is expecting big things from Kostas Mavropanos in an Arsenal shirt in the future.
The 20-year-old defender made his full Premier League debut last weekend during Arsenal’s 2-1 loss to Manchester United in the top flight at Old Trafford.
The young Greek defender earned plenty of praise for his strong performance for the Gunners and Arsenal fans will be hoping to see him develop into a top centre-half at the north London club in the years to come.
And Arsenal legend Pires has admitted that he is hoping to see the defender develop into a key player for the north London club under their new manager in the coming seasons.
Speaking in an interview with bwin, Pires said: “I have been impressed with Mavropanos and I think he has a bright future at Arsenal.
“It was a difficult first game at Old Trafford against Manchester United, but I thought he played well and I think he has the potential to play a lot more for the club next season.”
Arsenal are currently preparing for their home Premier League clash against Burnley on Sunday afternoon in what will be Arsene Wenger’s final campaign in charge of the north London club.
The Gunners head into the game on the back of the disappointment of being knocked out of the Europa League in the semi-final stage by Atletico Madrid last week to end their hopes of Champions League qualification for next season.
Arsenal have not won the Premier League since their famous unbeaten triumph in 2004.
