Robert Pires names three Arsenal players who can improve Alexandre Lacazette
The Arsenal legend believes Alexandre Lacazette's French compatriots can bring the best out of the centre-forward

Robert Pires believes Arsenal’s French contingent Laurent Koscielny, Olivier Giroud and Francis Coquelin can help to get the best out of Alexandre Lacazette.
The 26-year-old centre-forward moved to FA Cup holders Arsenal in a £52m deal from Ligue 1 side Lyon in the summer transfer window.
Lacazette moved to Arsenal with a reputation as one of Europe’s top goal-scorers following a return of 100 goals in 201 games.
The French forward has already found the net five times in 10 games in the Premier League this term to settle into life in the Premier League.
However, Lacazette will want to improve his record on the road having failed to score in any of Arsenal’s five away games in the Premier League this term.
Former Arsenal midfielder Pires believes Lacazette’s French compatriots in the Gunners squad can help the striker reach greater levels at The Emirates.
“If you want to click you need a very good feeling, for example for me it was easy to play with Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira or Sylvain Wiltord, it was the French connection,” Pires told Arsenal’s website.
“It’s the same for Alex Lacazette because on the team they have a lot of French players like Giroud, Laurent Koscielny, Francis Coquelin, these guys can help Lacazette reach a high level.”
Arsenal won the FA Cup for the third time in four seasons last term following a 2-1 victory over Premier League champions Chelsea.
The Gunners eased to a 2-1 win against relegation strugglers Swansea City at The Emirates on Saturday afternoon.
Sead Kolasinac and Aaron Ramsey got on the score sheet against the Swans to overturn the 1-0 deficit.
