Martin Keown responds to reports Arsenal manager snubbed Alexis Sanchez in training
The Arsenal legend rubbishes talk of Arsene Wenger snubbing Alexis Sanchez during training on Thursday afternoon

Martin Keown has played down talk of Arsene Wenger snubbing Alexis Sanchez during Arsenal’s training session on Thursday.
The Chile international has been a controversial figure at Arsenal over the past 12 months or so after Sanchez failed to reach an agreement with the Gunners over a new contract.
The 28-year-old is set to become a free agent next summer unless Arsenal can somehow manage to convince Sanchez to put pen to paper on a new Gunners deal.
Wenger and Sanchez were rumoured to have fallen out back in February when the Arsenal boss dropped the South American for a 3-0 loss to Liverpool at Anfield.
And the Arsenal boss was accused of snubbing Sanchez during Thursday’s training session as Wenger shook hands with a number of his Gunners players but skipped his prized asset.
Keown, though, was quick to play down the significance of the moment captured on camera ahead of Arsenal’s trip to Everton this weekend.
“I think it is a lot of fuss over nothing,” Keown told the Daily Mail.
“The players will have been at the ground an hour before going out on to the pitch and Arsene Wenger had probably seen Sanchez already and shaken his hand in the building.
“I do not see any problem at all.”
Sanchez has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal’s title rivals Manchester City after the South American missed out on a move to the Citizens last summer.
Arsenal lost 2-1 to London rivals Watford at Vicarage Road last weekend as the Gunners succumbed to their third defeat of the 2017-18 Premier League campaign.
