Charlie Nicholas: Arsene Wenger doesn’t trust Arsenal star any more
The Arsenal legend believes Theo Walcott no longer has the backing of Arsene Wenger

Charlie Nicholas has claimed that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger no longer trusts Theo Walcott.
The England international has found his first-team opportunities limited at the Emirates Stadium this season.
Walcott hasn’t started a Premier League in the 2017-18 campaign despite being the north London club’s longest-serving player.
Indeed, the 28-year-old has only made three top-flight appearances and has only managed to get 47 minutes under his belt.
Walcott has scored two goals and has made one assist in three Europa League games in the current campaign to make a point to his manager.
The former Southampton forward will be hoping to get a chance to impress when Wenger’s side take on Red Star Belgrade in the Europa League on Thursday night.
While Nicholas is tipping Walcott to find the net against the Serbian side at The Emirates, the Arsenal legend claimed that Wenger no longer trusts Walcott in the Premier League.
“It is awkward for Theo Walcott,” Nicholas told Sky Sports.
“I don’t think Arsene Wenger trusts him and he isn’t even getting off the bench in the Premier League now, so he really needs to consider his future.”
Arsenal signed Alexandre Lacazette in a club-record £52m deal from Ligue 1 side Lyon in the summer transfer window.
The France striker has already netted six times in 10 games in the Premier League to nudge Walcott further down the pecking order.
