Journalist delivers latest update on Alexis Sanchez’s Arsenal future
Arsenal are yet to receive a formal offer for Alexis Sanchez from any club this summer, according to Bryan Swanson
Arsenal are yet to receive a formal offer for Alexis Sanchez from any club this summer, according to Bryan Swanson.
The Sky Sports News HQ reporter took to Twitter on Monday to claim that despite all of the speculation about Sanchez’s future, the north London side have not yet received a bid for the 28-year-old.
The latest reports have suggested that Manchester City would be willing to offer Sergio Aguero to Arsenal as part of a deal to sign Sanchez this summer.
However, it would seem that the reports are nothing more than speculation as Sanchez continues to represent Chile during the Confederations Cup in Russia.
Swanson wrote on Twitter: “Alexis Sanchez arrives in Kazan ahead of Chile’s Confederations Cup semi-final. Arsenal yet to receive formal offer for him. #AFC #SSNHQ.”
Sanchez’s future has been a relentless source of speculation in recent months as he approaches the final 12 months of his contract at The Emirates.
It remains to be seen whether Arsenal will be able to convince the Chile international to stay at the club beyond the summer transfer window, as they will be unlikely to want to risk losing him on a free next year.
Arsenal missed out on a place in the Champions League after they finished fifth last season.
