Rio Ferdinand is tipping Arsenal to finish in fourth place in the Premier League table this season.

The Gunners kicked off their Premier League campaign with a victory as they secured a thrilling 4-3 win over Leicester City at The Emirates on Friday night.

The north London side will be aiming to improve their Premier League form this term after the disappointment of their fifth-placed finish last season.

The Gunners will have to make do without Champions League football this season and play in the Europa League after they missed out on a top-four finish.

However, Manchester United legend Ferdinand is expecting to see Arsenal challenge for a top-four finish and is tipping them to secure Champions League qualification this season.

Ferdinand wrote on Instagram: “Fourth. Arsenal (don’t often miss out & Wenger will succeed in top 4).”

Arsenal are now preparing for their Premier League clash against Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium next weekend as they look to make it two wins from two in the top flight.

The north London side, who lifted the FA Cup last season, won the Community Shield last weekend after beating Chelsea in a penalty shootout.
