Ryan Giggs pinpoints the difference between Arsenal and title rivals
Former Manchester United midfielder Ryan Giggs believes Arsenal's inability to grind out results is holding the Gunners back

Ryan Giggs believes the difference between Arsenal and their title rivals is their inability to grind out results.
The Gunners lost 1-0 to Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday evening following Jese Rodriguez’s 47th-minute winner.
Arsenal were unconvincing 4-3 winners against Leicester City in their Premier League opener at The Emirates earlier this month.
The north London side will make the trip to title rivals Liverpool in their next Premier League fixture at Anfield on Sunday evening.
Arsenal finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season to miss out on a place in the Champions League last term.
Former Manchester United midfielder Giggs pinpointed why Arsenal consistently struggle to challenge for the Premier League title.
“Arsenal were also the better team this weekend but ended empty-handed at Stoke,” Giggs told Sky Sports.
“They were always going to be under pressure when they lost their first game after missing out on Champions League and with the Alexis Sanchez and Arsene Wenger unrest, but you just feel they can’t get away with playing badly and still grind out results, something the top sides can.”
Arsenal haven’t won the Premier League title since 2003-04 when Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira and Robert Pires inspired the Gunners to top-flight glory.
The north London side signed Alexandre Lacazette in a £52m deal from Ligue 1 side Lyon earlier in the summer transfer window.
Arsenal have recruited Bosnian defender Sead Kolasinac in a free transfer from Bundesliga outfit Schalke 04.
The Gunners are already three points adrift of title rivals Manchester United following two top-flight fixtures.
