Thierry Henry sets challenge for Arsenal stars ahead of Swansea clash

The Arsenal legend wants the Gunners to show more consistency on the road

Thierry Henry has questioned why Arsenal are unable to produce their “champagne football” on a regular basis.

The Gunners were emphatic 5-2 winners against rudderless Everton at Goodison Park last weekend after Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Alexandre Lacazette.

Arsenal ended their winless run on the road in the Premier League thanks to their emphatic victory over the Toffees on Merseyside.

Indeed, Arsene Wenger has come under pressure following defeats at the hands of Watford, Liverpool and Stoke City to leave them off the pace in the title race.

The Gunners are looking to break back into the Premier League’s top four following a fifth-place finish behind Liverpool in the table last season.

Former Arsenal legend Henry can’t understand why Wenger’s players are incapable of showing greater consistency after a tough start to the season.

“Hopefully they can maintain that (the performance against Everton). It was champagne football at times. You wonder why you don’t see it more away from home,” Henry told Sky Sports.

Arsenal have won all three of their Europa League games so far as the north London club look to win the competition to secure a return to the Champions League.

Wenger signed Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette in a club-record £52m deal and Schalke 04 defender Sead Kolasinac in a free transfer in the summer.
